Internet Access

In the recent past, having Internet access in the office was a luxury for your employees to check their personal emails and stock quotes. In today’s business environment, whether you use the Internet for just email, or if you are running your entire eBusiness on-line, the Internet has become an integral part of your company’s communications infrastructure.

Datagram recognizes that having high performance, reliable access to the internet is the difference between profit or loss, productivity or inefficiency.

With over 15 years of experience in designing networks, Datagram has built a superb, state of the art network. Datagram’s network features the benefits of route optimization over strategically chosen paid transit and private peering connections, all of which are managed and monitored by our staff of engineers.

The NYC NAP, our regional dark fiber backbone, connects all the major telecommunications buildings in the New York area, allowing Datagram to connect to hundreds of other networks. Connecting to Datagram, means that our route optimization solution selects the best path to your destination, ensuring that we provide our customers with the best possible experience available on the internet.

Datagram's proven network infrastructure encompasses all the tools required to ensure that one can achieve a network environment that best suits any business need. Our network engineering philosophy was built on years of experience and a desire to build the best network possible. Over the past 15 years, we have fine tuned our skills by addressing the issues that have adversely affected other networks, allowing us to strengthen our best practices in their wake.

Connectivity Options

ETHERNET ACCESS

Datagram can deliver Internet access over a full-duplex Ethernet connection where available. Ethernet lit sites include our datacenters, Internet exchanges (IX), and Ethernet lit buildings. Ethernet is a familiar and scaleable solution that can easily expand to meet your company's growing bandwidth needs. Datagram provides full fixed rate, fractional rate or burstable billing on Ethernet circuits (10/100/1000). With our NYC NAP network connecting the primary telecommunications buildings in New York City area, access to Datagram via Ethernet may be only a short cross connect away.

REMOTE ACCESS

Datagram can deliver Internet access directly to your office or other remote locations via traditional point to point connections such as T1, T3, OC3, OC12 and OC48. By leveraging our relationships with all the major Local Exchange Carriers (LEC) we can quickly determine the most cost effective and reliable solutions available at your location. These options are then evaluated by our project team to provide you with an economical and reliable solution that best meets the needs of your organization.

BURSTABLE BILLING

Burstable billing is a popular option offered on DS-3, OC-X, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet connections. With this convenient option our customers have the ability to burst up to the full line speed of a circuit at any time without having to commit to the full bandwidth level. The ability to burst without restriction provides maximum flexibility to meet the business needs of our customers. Burstable bandwidth is measured and billed at the industry standard 95th percentile.
